About Derek S. Prijatelj

Hello World! In the future, I intend to update this website and add some written content in the form of a blog related to my work and interests. For now, it serves as hub of my linked internet presence.

I am a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Notre Dame with Dr. Walter J. Scheirer as my advisor in the Computer Vision Research Lab. My field is Uncertainty and Novelty in Machine Learning where I work on theoretical understanding and apply that theory in practice to discover more efficient learning algorithms for fundamental tasks. Other fields in computer science that interest me includes Natural Language Processing and general Artificial Intelligence. My personal interests include philosophy, psychology, and art, such as drawing and music.
